Sun Lovin'

I find this post especially important due to the numerous cases going on today.

It has been proven that tanning salons are much worse than regular sun-tanning.

My family friend of whom i have known for years has received bad news of her skin cancer on her back. 

She previously describes herself as a "sun worshipper".

As she has told me_ "I would always go out to the beach and lie down and just bake myself there. Now I wish I had never done that".

It hurts me to know that so may people, especially younger ones are struck with this issue. 

I strongly encourage beach-goers, even myself to always protect your skin. It is the largest organ in your body and it should be protected. 

Use sunblock, go under an umbrella, wear sunglasses. . . .just be aware.

Any Eyebrow Troubles?

Yesterday I visited the Sephora store to fix my unruly eyebrows, well I found the perfect solution to hide stray hairs that conflict with your shape. 

And let me give you a hint: No tweezer is needed!

I found this Laura Mercier concealer which hides everything. - including annoying brow hair!

And to top this off, I just applied Anastasia brow powder for a natural look and there you go!

Also works great on younger skin, also!

My Secret to Bangin' Black Nails!

Lately, black and neon polishes are in for this summer. 

To improve the look of black nails to transfer it from grungy to cool and urban, all I do is put one clean coat of white polish first and then I let it dry so I won't get any hints of grey.

Next, I just put on two coats of my favorite black polish( which is Chanel's Black Satin)

and. . . . . .Voila! Try this at home everyone! It really looks great I even got comments coming from my favorite makeup departments! :)

British Invasion!

We all know that British sweetheart, Alexa Chung is the host of the new MTV show, 

It's On With Alexa Chung. 

One question about her is, is Alexa a style icon or not?

I loved her outfit with the pink ruffled dress along with the black leather booties. 

In my op, I think she has definite potential to be an icon with her witty, cool attitude and her great sense of style.

R.I.P. Michael Jackson

Known as the king of pop in the U.S. and internationally. . . . .

He captured everyone's hearts with his soulful dancing. . . .

Michael Jackson was and still is the epitome of talent and art.

It was just today although that he suffered from a powerful cardiac arrest at his home. Paramedics rushed to his home and was found being held under a vicious and deadly heart attack. Now on this dreary Thursday, June 25, 2009 we sadly mourn the death of pop legend and inspiration to all singers and dancers. may you rest in peace Michael. Our deepest sympathies go out to the Jacksons.

Michael was only 50 years old and planned to make a comeback for all his adoring fans out there.

     Bad news all DiCaprio fans!!!!******** He is engaged to supermodel Bar Rafaeli and are having a summer wedding sometime in July. Who will be the next cute single bachelor without Leo? This is co tragic i think im going to faint and start bawling!!!!!

Kristen Stewart Channels Joan Jett

     I didn't recognize her at first when I saw these pics. The reason why the clumsy Twilight actress cut her hair was because she's starring in a new role in The Runaways based on the story of rock n' roller Joan Jett. (I love rock n' roll just put another dime in the jukebox baby. . .  . . . .) 

She's also starring alongside fellow New Moon cast mate, Dakota Fanning in this movie. No word on what her role is yet.

Matthew Williamson: the Best H&M Collaboration Yet?

     In my opinion, I love the great and colorful patterns and designs Matthew Williamson made this month for retail store giant, H&M (aka, my fave store EVER!!!). I went there this weekend during their sale and got a ton of stuff for a fraction of the price I'd pay at let's say Bloomie's or Saks. <3>

The BIG Break-Up: Bigger Than Miley's Chipmunk Jaw!

     Yeah, shocking isn't it? Looks like Miley Cyrus and justin Gaston are officially history. Must've been a nice ride being under the spotlight with Miley. . . . .Anyway, the abnormal couple were 4 years apart, Justin was 20 and she just turned 16. Could the age difference have caused trouble between them? Word around town says shes back together with Nick Jonas and the only reason why she got back with him was because she was jealous of Selena Gomez always around him. Well, why should Selena care? She has Taylor Lautner who plays Jacob Black in Twilight!!!!!!

     Sadly enough for Justin, we hear that Miley cheated on him with Nick. And I must say, quite a few pics were released of them "hanging out" together. But they seemed pretty intimate together if you ask me. This triggers another thing, WHY DO PEOPLE SAY THEY'RE JUST FRIENDS WITH SOMEONE IF THEY'RE TRULY IN LOVE WITH THEM? I mean, I understand they don't need all the public attention and all but it's just treating us like we're stupid! Ok, we know what's going on so contradicting yourself makes you look like a total liar to the whole world!

A Menacing Mother?

What in the world is wrong with America's most- talked about ( bitchiest) mother, Kate Gosselin? She is just completely changing herself in to an ego which does not reflect her past personality whatsoever! Her poor sextuplets and twins Mady & Cara should be so embarrassed! 

Before during the first episode when Jon was actually part of the family, Kate was a normal mom who absolutely HATED shopping and lived in a microscopic shack.If you watch closely now season after season, they just moved into a massive house which they could only dream of before they even had their multiples! Also, she dyed her hair blonde and got it cut like Victoria Beckham! Except the whole Big Bird thing going  on in the back of her head isn't working for  by any means! SO here she is signing books for die-hard fans wearing a J.Crew sheath dress and fancy Louboutin heels ( costs $700). Now here she is being tremendously publicized FOR WHAT, people?!?! For being the vicious monster of a mom that she is?

In a very recent interview with the kids ONLY, little diva Mady asks her mom for a drink of her water bottle. kate simply says "no". Okay, woman you just represented child abuse in front of millions of people watching TV. Can she at least show a little compassion?

Word on the divorce has not yet been released. . . . . . . . . . . . 

Operation Squirell

I'm sorry but this is a MUST-READ even though it's tremendously stupid.

I had to find a wacky current event for class since it's the last week of school so we're basically B.S.-ing our way through the end. 

Anyway, I found this odd story of a 35-year-old science teacher in Rockford, Michigan who promises his middle school students a memorable field trip to Mount Rushmore and Yellowstone National Park. How do they do this? By doing the most unimaginable act ever.

     

     For every $100 the students raise, he would stay up in the 40 ft. tree for an hour. Apparently, they have raised $6500 altogether which concludes to him staying up in the tree for TWO DAYS!!!!

This operation is called Operation Squirrel.

The items he brought with him were a steak sandwich, homemade cookies, and a hammock.

Sounds like a great way to camp outdoors!

Great news all Britney fans!!!! : ) Looks like Brit's going to be continuing her Circus tour during the end of this summer. 

It was so successful that her label and her owner, i meant to say father, Jamie Spears suggested a return to the stage. She raked in millions of $$$$$$$ why not?Some performances will be held at Madison Square Garden. I'm actually very eager to see this concert before I go back to school again! : ( 

Also watch out for the awaited 'Radar' video coming out any day now. She just wrapped up the finished product of her music vid and i'm keeping a close eye for it on YouTube.

Jennifer Hudson's Happy News

After Ms. Hudson's heartbreaking loss in her family, it's now officially confirmed that she is pregnant with hr first child with reality star, David Otunga. Jennifer's child is said to be a boy and she is a few months along in her pregnancy. This is definitely something that will bring her family even closer after the death of her mother and brother and the disappearance of her innocent cousin. We wish her the best of luck and our deepest congratulations to her and David.

Chace Crawford's New Lead! : )

Sorry, fans of Zac Efron but the Disney drag queen we all know and love is being replaced by the ever-so-cute CHACE CRAWFORD in the Paramount Pictures remake of Footloose!!! Yes, I said it! The Gossip Girl hottie is currently scheduled to star in the lead played by Kevin Bacon in the original movie. The film is set to be released in 2010 ( my graduation!!!!) So, ladies and gentlemen, get ready for some dancing feet and a cooler because Chace is SMOKIN'!!!!!
